Love Island

A 30’ TVC ad to be placed on prime time TV between Love Island.

Gaming Realms partnered with ITV and the hit show Love Island to create a new gaming site We were as commissioned to produced a prime-time TV advert to drive prime time TV viewers to sign up to take advantage of a free spins offer and play a range of games.

Designing a prime time TV ad.

The Brief

Take the Love Island TV series brand assets and create a 30 second TV ad for the new gaming portal.

Our Solution

Produce a storyboard to show the brand theme with a tropical sandy shore feel, in keeping to the programme opening titles.Write a quick and effective script to get the list of messages and hooks across within the ad such as promotional offers.  Upload this to Clearcast and approve statements and messaging with client substantiations. Map out the script in visual boards and work collaboratively with the client before going into production for an animatic and then previous to rough-cut.

On top of the creative, our production team cast and directed the voiceover, which was delivered by the Love Island commentator Iain Sterling.

The ad went out on the ITV Love Island ad breaks to an audience of over 3 million people.


The ad was so successful the client prolonged the airtime and added a new offer with a chance to win a holiday on the love Island game. For this, a second version has been created swapping out one of the featured games on the original from Stardust game to the online Scratch card. We then fitted the new voice over from Ian over the visuals, and added new messaging with glitter effects to showcase the holiday competition.
